School and Camp Group Field Trips

As always, NYC school and camp groups receive free general admission, as well as the add-on ticketed exhibitions, the Davis Family Butterfly Vivarium and The Secret World of Elephants.

The Richard Gilder Center for Science, Education, and Innovation, including the Solomon Family Insectarium, are included in general admission. 

NYC school and camp groups can also add the Space Showgiant-screen film, and/or the Invisible Worlds immersive experience for $7 per show, per person. This offer is only available for weekday visits. 

*To ensure availability, you must plan your field trip at least 5 weeks in advance. Reservations are currently available through December 31, 2023. 

Follow these simple steps to plan an unforgettable museum learning experience for your school or camp group.

  1. See what’s on view: ticketed exhibitions and permanent exhibitions
  2. Find your curriculum connections with Resources for Learning
  3. Download and complete the Field Trip Planning Tool before calling
  4. Make your reservation by calling 212-769-5200 between the hours of 9am–5pm. Reservations cannot be taken over email. Preregistration and tickets are required for all visitors

Please note: This is NOT a place where you can book a field trip. In order to actually book your trip, or modify your booking, you will need to call our Central Reservations team. 

Additionally, we do not offer guided field trip experiences, but if you would like help finding resources to support your trip, or answers to non-booking related questions, please feel free to sign up for a time slot!
